Checking GP-IO Output Signals of the Spectrophotometer
When trying to switch the valve or pump from the computer, no function of
valve unit or pump and no pump LEDs turned on although the valve unit
operates in manual mode.
Incorrect Reading of Valve Position in Software
Although the valve and pump can be operated from the software, the valve
position is not correctly read by the software.

Check the electronics of the GP-IO port of the spectrophotometer, refer to
"Checking GP-IO Output Signals of the Spectrophotometer"
Open one of the connectors of the valve-pump controller-GP-IO cable to
have access to the pins.
Connect the cable to the valve-pump controller and the spectrophotometer.
Check address lines and data-in lines DXIN using different valve and/or
pump positions (and channels if software allows it), see
page 104. (When using dissolution testing software, these lines keep the bit
pattern of the last GP-IO write cycle, until the next GP-IO write cycle
occurs.)
Check the read/write line R/W(-) and data valid line DV(-), refer to
Figure 43
on page 103. (Your measuring device must be able to detect logic
level transitions.)
Open one of the connectors of the valve-pump controller-GP-IO cable to
have access to the pins.
Connect the cable to the valve-pump controller and the spectrophotometer.
Check the data-out lines DXOUT, refer to
measuring device must be able to detect logic level transitions, because the
data-out lines are only valid when the ready line Rdy(-) is active.
Check the read/write line R/W(-), data valid line DV(-) and ready line
Rdy(-), refer to
Figure 44
to detect logic level transitions.)
