Action
Sticky bubbles on the window of the flow cell
can be minimized by cleaning the tubing and
flow cell with a solution of 2% passivating and
cleaning fluid (part number 5062-8529).
Increase the wait time before taking the
spectrum to allow the bubble to move up
outside the light path.
Use flow cells with a wide aperture.
Check the flow rate of the pump and replace the
pump tubing if necessary.
Specify a longer pump time in your method.
Adjust the speed control of the peristaltic pump
to a higher speed.
Check tubing for possible flow restrictions.
Check tubing for possible air leaks.
Check surfaces of the ferrules and exchange
ferrules which are scratched.
Tighten fittings and unions.
Change filter tips and/or use filter tips with a
wider pore size, if appropriate.
Measure zero cells on water to compensate for
different absorbancies to the windows.
Specify individual path lengths in the
Agilent ChemStation software to compensate
for different path lengths of the cells.
