Important safety precautions

The Motor Module can be serviced after it has been disconnected from the DC busbar via
the DC interface and after the capacitor discharge time has elapsed. However, the following
safety precautions must be observed:
Risk of death resulting from failure to observe the general safety instructions and residual
risks
If the general safety instructions and residual risks are not observed, accidents can occur
causing serious injuries or death.
• Observe the general safety instructions.
• Take into account residual risks when assessing risks.
Risk of death from electric shock due to hazardous voltage
Once the DC busbar and the Motor Module have been disconnected using the DC interface
(-Q7), hazardous voltage may still be present in the Cabinet Module as follows:
• Up to 1200 V on the DC busbar (protected against accidental contact)
• Line voltage (380 to 480 V 3 ph. AC or 500 to 690 V 3 ph. AC) via the auxiliary power
• Up to 230 V AC at the optional mounting locations
• 24 V DC via the auxiliary power supply system (electronics power supply)
• At the motor connection (e.g. regenerative voltage due to residual speed)
Contact with live parts can result in death or serious injury.
• Assign only qualified specialists to carry out the work.
• Verify that the equipment is de-energized at the measuring points provided in the
• Verify the isolation from supply at the motor connections.
• Avoid any contact with the DC busbar when working close to the DC busbar in the
• Take care that screws or small parts do not fall into the cabinet when replacing
• Remove the fan fuse and the fuse for the 24 V DC supply.
Note
Compliance with legal regulations
You must observe the applicable legal regulations when carrying out all work.
The following figures show the location of the voltage source once disconnected from the DC
busbar and the associated measuring points to verify isolation from the supply in the Cabinet
Module.
