6.4 Replacing components
Note
If required, the LV HRC fuse grip can be ordered from Siemens using order number 3NX1.
Removal steps
1. Open the cabinet.
2. Remove the front direct-contact protection cover on the cabinet.
3. Slip the LV HRC fuse grip with sleeve for LV HRC fuse links onto the fuse.
4. Remove the defective fuse.
NOTICE
Device failure after an NH fuse trips
When a low-voltage high-rupturing-capacity fuse trips, the neighboring low-voltage high-
rupturing-capacity fuses may also become damaged. Failure to replace all fuses at the
same time can cause the device to fail.
• After a low-voltage high-rupturing-capacity fuse trips, always replace all low-voltage
Installation steps
1. Insert the new fuse into the LV HRC fuse grip.
2. Place the new fuse in the fuse holder in the cabinet.
3. Press the release button on the LV HRC fuse grip to release the grip from the new fuse.
4. Mount the front direct-contact protection cover.
5. Close the cabinet.

Risk of death from touching live parts when cover is missing
When live parts are touched, you can suffer death or serious injury under fault
conditions.
• Do not remove the cover (direct-contact protection) over the line connections.
