3. Use the arrow keys on your keyboard to select Intel(R) ME tab and then press Enter to
display the password text box.
4. Type admin in the text box and press Enter. You must now change the default password.
5. Press Enter again and type a new password. The new password must have a minimum of
eight characters using a combination of upper and lowercase letters, numbers, and
symbols.
You should now continue to configure AMT as described in the following section.
Configuring AMT from System Setup Screen
Use the arrow keys on your keyboard to select the screens and menu items described in the
following steps.
1. Select Intel(R) ME tab and press Enter.
2. Select Intel(R) Management Engine Configuration and press Enter.
a. Select Turn on Intel(R) ME in Sleep States and press Enter to display the options
b. Select Always/Enabled and press Enter.
c. Select Intel(R) ME After Power Failure and press Enter to display the option menu.
d. Select Power On and press Enter.
e. Press Esc to return to the main menu.
3. Select Intel(R) Active Management Technology Configuration and press Enter. Note
that your AMT computer name is the same as the computer's serial number.

4. Optionally, select TCP/IP Configuration and press Enter to specify a static IP or a DHCP
address as appropriate for your environment. Press Esc to return to the previous screen.
5. Select Provisioning Configuration and press Enter.
6. Select Enterprise in the Provisioning Mode line and press Enter to display a list of
provisioning mode options.
7. Select Small-Medium Business and press Enter.
8. Press F10 to save your changes and exit. Press Y to confirm your changes and reboot your blade.
Accessing Additional AMT Features
This section describes how to access additional AMT features on a blade outside of Sentral.
1. Obtain the IP address of the blade you are accessing, for example, using the ipconfig
command from the Windows command prompt.
2. Use an Ethernet cable with RJ-45 connectors to connect a computer with a Web browser
to the AMT blade. Ensure that a connection is established, for example, using the ping
command.
3. Open a Web browser and type the following:
nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn:16992
Where nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn is the IP address of the AMT blade and 16992 is the
AMT–specific port.

F12 if booting from network, for example from a PXE server

If you are using Sentral, ClearCube recommends using the same name for the
AMT computer name and the Windows computer name. If you use different
names, the Sentral hierarchical view displays different names for the blade and for
the Intel Management Engine on the blade.
