RIDING THE VEHICLE

Pre-Ride Inspection

Perform a pre-ride inspection before each ride to detect any potential prob-
lem that could occur during operation. The pre-ride inspection can help you
monitor component wear and deterioration before they become a problem.
Correct any problems that you discover to reduce the risk of a breakdown or
crash. See an authorized Can-Am dealer as necessary.
Before using this vehicle, the operator should always perform the following
pre-ride inspection check list.

What to Do Before Starting the Engine (Key OFF)

Parking brake
Tires

Radiator
Drive shaft boots

INSPECTION TO PERFORM
Check fuel, engine oil and coolant levels
Check for any leaks under vehicle
Activate throttle lever several times to ensure it operates
freely. It must return to idle position when released
Apply parking brake and check if it operates properly
Check tire pressure and condition
Check wheels for damage, and check lug nuts are
tightened
Check cleanliness of the radiator
Check drive shaft boots and protectors condition
Check if operator seat is in place and properly latched
Check if passenger seat or the storage box are in place and
properly latched (2-UP Models)
Check the passenger backrest and grab handles condition
(2-UP Models)
