OPERATION WARNINGS
2-UP Models Only

POTENTIAL HAZARD
Stalling, rolling backwards or improperly dismounting while climbing a hill.
WHAT CAN HAPPEN
Could result in vehicle overturning.
HOW TO AVOID THE HAZARD
Use proper gear and maintain steady speed when climbing a hill.
If you lose all forward speed:
Operator and passenger must keep their weight uphill. Never open the
throttle suddenly or make sudden gear changes. The vehicle could flip
over backwards.
Apply the brakes.
Lock parking brake after you have stopped.
First, disembark the passenger, then dismount on uphill side, or to a side if
pointed straight uphill.
If you begin rolling backwards:
Operator and passenger must keep their weight uphill. Never open the
throttle suddenly or make sudden gear changes. The vehicle could flip
over backwards.
Never apply the rear brake while rolling backwards.
Apply the front brake gradually.
When fully stopped, apply rear brake as well and lock parking brake.
First, disembark the passenger, then dismount on uphill side, or to a side if
pointed straight uphill.
Turn the vehicle around and remount, following the procedure described
further in this Operator's Guide.
