Detach throttle body side cover from
throttle body.

LH SIDE OF ENGINE
1. Throttle cable
2. Side cover
3. Remove screw
4. Release cover clip
Insert the needle of the lubricant can in
the end of throttle cable adjuster.
CAUTION Always
propriate skin and eye protection.
Chemicals can cause a skin rash and
severe eye injury.
TYPICAL
NOTE: Place a rag around the throttle
cable adjuster to prevent the lubricant
from splashing.
Add lubricant until it runs out at throttle
body end of the throttle cable.
Reinstall and adjust the cable.
Throttle Cable Adjustment
Slide rubber protector back to expose
throttle cable adjuster.
Loosen lock nut then turn the adjuster
to obtain correct throttle lever free play.
NOTE: Measure throttle free play at
the tip of throttle lever.
Tighten lock nut and reinstall protector.

A. 3 mm to 6 mm (1/8 in to 1/4 in)
With the shift lever on PARK position,
start the engine.
