Updating Software Manually

The following procedure describes how you update the KIRK Wireless Server
8000 or KIRK Wireless Server 2500 software manually if the default update
procedure fails.
Prerequisites.
• Kirk serial cable.
• PC with HyperTerminal installed.
To Update Software Manually
Set the HyperTerminal to 115200, 8 data, no parity, 1 stop bit and no flow

control.
Select a free com port, and then connect the KIRK serial cable between the

com port on the pc and the serial port on the KIRK Wireless Server 8000 or
KIRK Wireless Server 2500.
Power on the KIRK Wireless Server 8000 or KIRK Wireless Server 2500

system. The following the terminal window is displayed.
