evenly and that it is not twisted.
• Check that the diagonal seat belt fits correct-
ly across your child's shoulder and does not
press on their neck; if necessary, adjust the
headrest.
• Check that the car safety belt retractor is be-
hind the backrest of the car seat (Fig. 48).
To remove a child from a Group 2 and 3 child
car seat:
1. Release the car safety belt from its buckle.
2. Remove the car safety belt from the child's
body.
3. Carefully remove the child from the car seat.
WARNING! If you do not intend to remove
the child car seat, fasten the car seat belt in
its buckle so that it restrains the child car seat
even when not in use; this will avoid danger in
the event of an accident or the sudden brak-
ing of the car.
10. REFITTING THE HARNESS FOR A
GROUP 1 SEAT (9-18 KG)
Follow the instructions described in chapter 7
in reverse order.
11. ADJUSTING THE HEIGHT OF THE
HEADREST
It is possible to adjust the height of the head-
rest to the height of your child. Correct adjust-
ment of the headrest ensures that:
- the child's head is always held in place and
well protected (Gr. 1/2/3).
- the child car seat safety harnesses are always
at the right height, i.e. shoulder height (Gr. 1)
- the diagonal car seat belts are always at the
right height with the belt slots incorporated
in the headrest C (Gr. 2-3).
Use the headrest and harness adjustment
button (A) on the top of the backrest to adjust
the child seat headrest (Fig. 28) to the desired
height.
12. RECLINING
WARNING! The child car seat has 3 recline
positions in Gr. 1 (Fig. 49).
The child car seat must be reclined ONLY in
positions 1 and 2 in Gr. 2/3. Position 3 CANNOT
be used. (Fig. 50).
To recline the child car seat use the recline
handle (K) and set to the desired position de-
pending on the group. We recommend reclin-
ing the seat before seating your child.
WARNING: After adjusting, make sure that
