12. Replace the fabric and the crotch strap
once you have completed the above steps.
8. FITTING THE CHILD CAR SEAT AND
SEATING CHILDREN IN GROUP 2/3 US-
ING THE CAR'S THREE-POINT-BELT AND
ISOFIX AND TOP TETHER CONNECTORS
(15-36 KG)
Before fitting and seating your child change
the child car seat set-up from Group 1 (9-18
kg) to Group 2/3 (15-36 kg) as indicated in
chapter 7.
To fit the child car seat with the Isofix system
follow the instructions in chapter 4. (from Fig.
5 to Fig. 17B).
1. To extract the Isofix connector system (R)
move the button all the way across. Then,
holding down the button, press the ISOFIX
system release handle (M) (Fig. 5).
2. Keeping the button held down, COMPLETE-
LY pull out the ISOFIX system from the bot-
tom of the backrest (Fig. 6). Check that the
system has been fully extracted.
3. Then completely remove the Top Tether
from the rear cover, undoing the snap but-
ton and closing the compartment cover
(Fig. 7). Place the Top Tether on the seat so
it does not get in the way during the fitting
process (Fig. 8).
4. Position the child car seat on the seat, refer-
ring to the options suggested in your car's
user manual.
WARNING! Make sure there are no objects
between the child car seat and the vehicle
seat or between the child car seat and car
door.
5. Fasten the two ISOFIX connectors to the
corresponding ISOFIX hooks on the car seat
between the backrest and the seat (Fig. 9).
WARNING! To make sure that the seat has
been fitted correctly, pull the child car seat to-
wards you and check that the two indicators
(S) are green (Fig. 10).
6. Push the child car seat firmly against the
backrest of the car seat (Fig. 11) to make
sure it is securely in place.
The child car seat is completely fitted only with
the installation of the Top Tether.
WARNING! Refer to your car's user manual to
identify where the Top Tether of the child car
seat is attached to the car. This fastening point
is denoted with a specific label (Fig. 12) and
can be found in the positions indicated by the
figures 12A - 12B - 12C - 12D - 12E.
WARNING! Check that the Top Tether fasten-
er used is the one that has been specially des-
ignated. Do not confuse it with a ring used for
hanging bags (Fig. 13).
WARNING! Pass the Top Tether between the
top of the car seat backrest and the headrest.
Never pass the Top Tether above the car head-
rest (Fig. 14).
7. Extend the Top Tether belt by pressing the
button. (Fig. 15)
8. Once you have identified the fastening
point, connect the Top Tether hook to it.
9. Adjust the length of the Top Tether belt by
forcefully pulling the belt until it is tight. The
indicator on the belt goes green (Z) when
the tether is suitably tight (Fig. 16).
10. Roll up any excess belt, tie it using the vel-
cro and put it back in the Top Tether system
storage compartment (V) (Fig. 17A - 17B).
To seat your child proceed as follows:
11. Pass the diagonal strap of the vehicle seat
belt behind the headrest and through the
specific red diagonal belt slot (C) under the
headrest (Fig. 44).
12. Carefully place your child in the seat, mak-
ing sure their back is well supported by the
backrest.
13. Fasten the car seat belt to its buckle ensuring
that both the waist and the diagonal strap
pass through the waist belt slots L. Pass the
waist portion of the belt in the belt posi-
tioner (Fig. 45).
14. When adjusting the height of the headrest
check that the diagonal belt guide (C) is
positioned above the shoulder at a maxi-
mum distance of 2 cm (Fig. 46).
15. Pull the diagonal strap of the car seat belt
towards the retractor, ensuring that the
belt is tight and fits properly over your
child's legs and chest (Fig. 47).
16. Check that the child car seat is fitted cor-
rectly.
WARNING!
• Always check that the seat belt is distributed
evenly and that it is not twisted.
• Check that the diagonal seat belt fits correct-
ly across your child's shoulder and does not
press on their neck; if necessary, adjust the
headrest.
