This guide describes the DTP2 T 212 switching transmitter and provides instructions on

About the DTP2 T 212
The Extron DTP2 T 212 is a two input HDMI switcher for 4K video signals with two
simultaneous outputs. The switching transmitter features two HDMI inputs, one local HDMI
output and one TP output. The TP output extends digital video, digital audio, remote power,
analog audio, bidirectional RS-232, and IR. The device also features EDID Minder for
managing EDID, and Key Minder for managing HDCP to DTP, DTP2, and HDBase-T (HDBT)
receivers.

The switcher is housed in a one inch high, half rack, rack mountable metal enclosure, and is
powered by an external power supply.

The DTP2 T 212 extends the digital signal to DTP2 inputs 330 feet (100 meters) with a
maximum resolution of up to 4K @ 60 Hz, 4:4:4, with HDCP 2.3, supporting data rates
up to 18 Gbps.
Transmits HDMI plus control and analog audio up to 330 feet (100 meters) or
230 feet (70 meters) over a shielded CATx cable — The DTP2 T 212 provides high
reliability and maximum performance on an economical and easily installed cable
infrastructure.
Inputs: Two female HDMI type‑A connectors — Accepts signals up to 4096x2160
@ 30 Hz, 3840x2160 @ 30 Hz, 2560x1600 at 60 Hz and 4K/UHD at 60 Hz
uncompressed, with a maximum data rate of 3.4 Gbps, and HDCP 2.3.
