To Improve the Reproducibility of Dark-color Text / To
Clearly Make Halftone Dots in Gray with Color Copying
Before adjustment
The reproducibility of the color text
copied with the default setting cannot
satisfy the image quality.
Before adjustment
When halftone dots in gray are
copied, black dots which are not on
the original will appear or white faint
portions will be generated.
 Explanation
When an attempt is made to copy dark-color text such as navy blue, the color of the text sometimes
becomes black. In such a case, the reproducibility of the color can be improved by changing the setting
to the one giving priority to the color text. Moreover, if black dots, white faintness or uneven density
appear when halftone dots in gray are copied, this can be reduced by changing the setting to the one
giving priority to the halftone dots in gray.
 Procedures
The service technician must perform all adjustments.
(1) Select [05 ADJUSTMENT MODE] and change the setting value for the code [7843].
