INFORMATION
Note that when adjusting the back support angle, the leg support must also be adjusted in such a way as to allow
a comfortable position for the user's feet.
The back support angle can be set in a range between 80°–180°. There are two ways to do this:
Continuous adjustment
Four ratchet positions
1) Gently press the lateral supports on the sides of the back support slightly inwards (see fig. 95) to avoid dam
aging the material.
2) Release the twist knob (see fig. 13, item 1) by turning it to the left.
3) If the back support locking mechanism (see fig. 14, item 1) on the twist knob is in one of the four ratchet posi
tions (see fig. 13, item 2), pull it out.
4) Continuous adjustment: For continuous adjustment, rotate the back support locking mechanism by 90° so
that it can be moved vertically (see fig. 15, item 2).
5) Push or pull the back support to the desired angle.
INFORMATION: If the back support angle is set to 180° (maximum setting) the seating unit is in the
lying position (see fig. 16).
6) Setting the back support locking mechanism to a ratchet position: If the back support locking mechan
ism is to engage in one of the four ratchet positions (see fig. 13, item 2) rotate it by 90° to bring it into a hori
zontal position (see fig. 15, item 1). Then adjust the back support locking mechanism to the desired ratchet
position.
7) Close the twist knob by rotating it to the right (see fig. 13).
