Handling care
Please note the following points when wiring the analogue input unit and sensor.
The EX600 analogue input unit operates using a differential input specification, therefore pin No.4 (input –)
becomes the reference and pin No.2 (input +) carries the signal data.
This means that, if pin No.4 is not connected, the signal input cannot be input correctly.
Externally connect pin No.3 and pin No.4 together when a differential output sensor is not used.
Sensor and wiring example is shown below
When analogue input signal is referenced at GND
When 2-wire current output type sensor is used.
When differential output type sensor is used
Error display
Status LED displays the power supply and operation status. These can be checked according to the following:

Descriptions
Power supply for control and input is OFF.
OFF
Operating normally.
Green light ON
Power supply for input device is short circuited.
Red light ON
Upper or lower limit is detected for either of the following
items:
Flashing red
All LEDs flashing
Component failure inside the analog input unit.
Stop using the product and contact SMC.
