Product Outline System configuration The EX600 range of units can be connected to various types of fieldbus to achieve the reduction of I/O device wiring and the use of a distributed control system. The unit communicates with the fieldbus through the SI unit.
Page 8
Glossary Term Definition Data receive and transmit speed used by the fieldbus. This depends on master equipment (PLC etc.), Communication speed the unit used is bps (bit per second). Current consumption The amount of current required by each unit in order to operate. D side The DOWN side of the manifold, where EX600 end plate is connected Open fieldbus for factory automation.
Assembly Assembling the unit as a manifold. *: If the unit was purchased as a manifold, the work described in this section is not necessary. Note Be sure to turn off the power when carrying out work to assemble the unit as a manifold. Connect a unit to the end plate.

Handling care Please note the following points when wiring the analogue input unit and sensor. The EX600 analogue input unit operates using a differential input specification, therefore pin No.4 (input –) becomes the reference and pin No.2 (input +) carries the signal data. This means that, if pin No.4 is not connected, the signal input cannot be input correctly.
