Reset Modes

The TLP 1000MV and TLP 1000TV have four reset modes that correspond to four of the five
reset modes for the IP Link controllers. To maintain consistency with the controllers, the modes
for touchpanels are numbered 1, 3, 4, and 5.

The modes are initiated by pressing the Reset button. The Reset button on the TLP 1000MV, is

Activation

Hold down the recessed Reset button while applying power to the touchpanel.

Result

The touchpanel reverts to the factory default firmware. Event scripting does not start if the
touchpanel is powered on in this mode. All user files and settings (GUI, adjustments, IP settings)
are maintained.

Purpose and Notes

This mode reverts to the factory default firmware version if incompatibility issues arise with
user-loaded firmware.

After a mode 1 reset is performed, update the touchpanel firmware to the latest version.

Do not operate the firmware version that results from this mode reset. To use the
factory default firmware, reload that version
If you do not want to update firmware or you performed a mode 1 reset by mistake,

cycle power to the touchpanel to return to the firmware version that was running before
the mode 1 reset. Use the 0Q SIS command to confirm that the factory default firmware
is no longer running (look for asterisks following the version number).
