Furniture Mounting the TLP 1000MV

The TLP 1000MV can be mounted into the surface of a lectern as follows.

Determine the best location for the TLP 1000MV.
Use the template provided to mark the lectern and then cut a hole 10.22 inches (25.96 cm)
wide x 7.16 inches (18.2 cm) high (figure 42,
Unpack the TLP 1000MV and remove the bezel, using the Extron removal tool.
Ensure all the locking arms are flush with the unit and check that the TLP 1000MV can fit
into the hole. If necessary, use a rasp or a coarse file to enlarge the hole.

Mounting the TLP 1000MV in a Lectern
With the TLP 1000MV in position, mark four holes for screws, where the unit will be secured
to the lectern.
Remove the TLP 1000MV and, if necessary, drill four pilot holes into the lectern (
Run the network cable and video connectors to the lectern, leaving enough slack to connect
them to the back of the TLP 1000MV.
Plug the cables into the rear panel connectors (see

on page 6).
Connect the LAN port to the network with a straight-through cable, providing both a
network connection and power from a PoE power injector.
Connect an S-video or composite video source to the RJ-45 MTP input.
Optional: Extron recommends using the power injector provided. However, you may use
the LAN port only as a network connection and connect a 12 VDC, 1.0 A power supply (not
provided) to the 2-pole captive screw power input. See the the

8. for very important information about power supplies and power injectors.
Push excess cables into the lectern.
Ensure the five locking arms (three at the top and two at the bottom) are flush with the top
and bottom of the TLP 1000MV, and then fit the touchpanel into the hole.
Secure the touchpanel to the lectern with four #4 screws (not provided), using the pilot holes
drilled in step 6 (

If required, perform the initial calibration using the
