Follow the on-screen instructions to download the program. An executable file is
downloaded to the PC.
7. Go to the Downloads folder and click on the file to install the firmware on the PC. By
default, it is stored at C:\\Program Files (x86)\Extron\Firmware\<product
name>\<firmware version>.

Updating Firmware Using Extron Firmware Loader

1. Open the Extron Firmware Loader by clicking on the desktop icon.

2. Select TLP 1000MV or TLP 1000TV from the Device drop-down menu.
3. TCP/IP is the only option in the Connection Method drop-down menu.
Enter the IP address for the TLP 1000, a Telnet port number (this will usually be 23), and a

5. Click Connect.
6. In the New Firmware File Path panel, navigate to the file that was saved in step 7,
above.
7. Click Add. The Add Device... dialog box closes.
The TLP 1000MV or TLP 1000TV is listed in the device panel of the main Firmware Loader
screen.
8. Click Begin. The firmware transfer begins and takes approximately three minutes. When
the Total Progress bar shows Completed, select Exit from the File menu to exit
Firmware Loader.
Firmware Loader — Add Device Dialog Box
The factory configured passwords for all accounts on this device have been set to
the device serial number. Passwords are case sensitive.
If the device is reset to default settings, the password is the default password
configuration. The default password is extron.
