This section provides general information and tips for troubleshooting.

Loading the Factory Defaults via DashBoard
If you need to return the RCP-ME to a known configuration, you can use DashBoard to load the factory defaults.
This defaults the RCP-ME panel configuration (Panel Config interface settings) only, and not the connection
configuration (Connection Editor).
To load the factory defaults
1.
Open the RCP-ME Panel Config interface (see "To open the RCP-ME Panel Config interface" on page 22).
2.
Select the Configuration tab.
3.
In the Configuration section, select the Load Factory Defaults check box.
Ensure that only the Home page box is selected in the Send Configuration dialog. De-select all other pages or
they will be sent to the device as well, thus changing the factory defaults.
4.
Send the current configuration file to the device (see "To send the current configuration to a panel" on
page 74).
The factory defaults are loaded.
Upgrading the Software
The RCP-ME can be upgraded in the field via DashBoard. Note that DashBoard version 8.2.0 or higher is required
for this procedure.

Checking the Firmware Version
Firmware may be updated easily using DashBoard. To check for the latest firmware versions, contact Ross Video
Technical Support.

Cause
Use DashBoard to return to the Home menu.
Try the following until the RCP-ME responds:
• Reset the RCP-ME
• Send the default configuration file to the RCP-ME
• Load the factory defaults via DashBoard.
Use DashBoard to set up the devices with virtual routing
enabled or disabled as required.
Determine which level is causing the breakaway warning and
then:
• connect the source and destination equipment so that the
particular crosspoint will work, or
• remove the router level from the breakaway definition.
