This chapter provides information on the display options for the LCD, how to monitor the panel via DashBoard,
general tips to troubleshoot common problems, and briefly summarizes the steps required to update the firmware on
the hard panel
Adjusting the Contrast for the LCD
You can fine tune the display contrast of the LCD on the front panel.
To adjust the contrast
1.
Insert a Phillips head screwdriver into the Display Contrast trim-pot on the rear panel of the RCP-ME.
2.
Adjust the trim-pot until the contrast suits your environment and viewing requirements.
Viewing Status and Alarms in DashBoard
An indication that alarms are present for a device is visible in the Basic Tree View pane. If a device has one or more
alarms, a small circle appears in the icon for the device.

The status of the RCP-ME is shown via a number of colored buttons and labels:
• Green – device is connected and operational.

• Red – device has been rebooted. Refresh the Basic Tree View in DashBoard to clear this status.
• Orange – no active DashBoard connection. A forced connection is required.
