Check the messages that appear on the printer's
screen, and then press Cleaning.
When the message is not displayed, press in the
order of (menu) - Maintenance - Cleaning
the Maintenance Parts - Sensor Cover.

Check the message, and then press Start.
The platen moves to the maintenance position.

Open the left side of the Printer Cover.

Pour an appropriate amount of water into the
cup supplied with the maintenance kit, and soak
a clean-room wiper in it.

Put your hand into the opening and use the
clean-room wiper, which was soaked in water, to
dampen the

Use a dry clean-room wiper to wipe off the dried
ink.
Continue wiping until the clear part is no longer
opaque, as shown in the lower illustration, and
you can clearly see the inside.
