ActiveScale™ P100 Support Guide
1. Remove the blanking panel from the System Interconnect mounting kit.
a. Remove the thumb screw from the front of the blanking panel.
b. Grasp the blanking panel by the front cutouts.
c. Pull the blanking panel from the mounting kit.
Note: You might have to remove adjacent blanking panels to fully access the 3U
mounting kit or System Interconnects.
2. Identify the malfunctioning fan at the back of the System Interconnect.
3. Grasp the clips and pinch to unlatch the fan from the system.
4. With even pressure, pull the fan out of the system.
5. Record the serial number of the faulty device for return purposes.

3.2.1.2 Installing a System Interconnect fan

To install a replacement System Interconnect fan:
1. Align the replacement fan to the empty slot.
2. With even pressure, push the replacement fan into the system until there is an audible click. The fan
should begin operating immediately.
3. Replace the blanking panels at the front of the system.

3.2.2 Replacing System Interconnect PSUs

Caution: Be careful not to accidentally remove the power cord of the second
PSU. This will bring the System Interconnect down and cause data loss.
