Repeat steps 1-7 to open the ports on System Interconnect 2.

7.8 Powering on the System Expansion Node

Power on the System Expansion Node using the front power button.
Important: If you are installing more than one System Node, only power on one
System Expansion node at a time, then run the system expansion wizard for that
node. Repeat these steps for each System Expansion Node.

7.9 Software steps for adding a System Expansion Node kit

Before following these steps, complete the hardware steps in the ActiveScale P100/ActiveScale X100
Installation Guide. You can add one new System Expansion Node at a time to only one system at any one
site.
At this point, all nodes in the new system have link local IP addresses and ActiveScale OS pre-installed on
them.
Warning: Components in the System Expansion Node might have newer
firmware than your existing components have. This procedure does not upgrade
or downgrade any firmware.
