ActiveScale™ P100 Support Guide
To program a System Interconnect:
1. Obtain the correct System Interconnect configuration file for your system from Western Digital
Corporation support.
2. Edit the System Interconnect configuration file as follows:
a. Modify the IP address for the syslog target to match your environment.
b. Modify the IP address for VLAN to match your environment.
c. Modify the time and time zone to match your environment.
3. Connect your computer to the Ethernet port on the System Interconnect.
4. Configure your computer manually to be on the same network as the System Interconnect with the
following values:
– Management Port: 192.168.123.0/24
– Subnet: 255.255.255.0
– Gateway: 192.168.123.123
5. Open a Telnet session to the replacement System Interconnect and replace switchport_IP with
the default IP address 192.168.123.123.
The System Interconnect command prompt appears.
6. Log in using the default credentials (user name admin, no password).
7. Type enable to enter the Privileged EXEC command mode.

8. Type configure to enter the Privileged CONF command mode.

9. Configure the name of the switch.

Replace DC01 with the data center index you use for this data center. Replace SW01 with SW02 if
you are replacing the upper System Interconnect.
The prompt changes to the new name of the switch.
10. Copy the entire contents of your modified System Interconnect configuration file, and paste it into the
telnet session.
11. Save the new configuration.
