a. In ActiveScale SM click Configuration > Upgrade.
b. In the System Expansion section, scroll down to Scale Out.
c. Click Start.

The scale out wizard starts. ActiveScale OS disables the DHCP server on the System Nodes and scans
for the new system's link local IP addresses.
A pop-up appears with results of system scan:

– If the wizard indicates that no scale out system are available, click Close. Check the power-on
state and cabling of each component in the new system and start the wizard again.
– If the wizard indicates that there is a version mismatch, click Close. Update the ActiveScale OS
on the existing system(s) and start the wizard again. For upgrade help, contact Western Digital
Support.
– If the wizard finds no problems, click Continue. The wizard displays the network settings.
