Important: Do not remove a drive in the Degraded state. If the drive returns to
the Online state, the automatic repairs were successful and no further action is
required.
If the status is Decommissioning, the drive is either undergoing automatic repair, or is being
prepared for safe removal from the system. When it is safe to remove the drive, the state will
change to Decommissioned.
Important: Do not remove drives in the Decommissioning state. If the drive
never reaches the Decommissioned state, contact <O oem
placeholder>oem_name_company_parent support.
If the status is Decommissioned, proceed with physical drive replacement.
e. Click the Ident button
f. Identify the physical location of the drive.
2. Remove the drive tray.
a. Locate the release lever under the drive tray handle at the front of the Storage Node.

b. Press upward on the release lever and use the handle to pull the tray out of the Storage Node with
even pressure.

3. Remove the necessary drives from the drive tray.
