While both the System Interconnect and Storage Nodes share the additional extension on the mounting
brackets, the support flanges are longer on the Storage Node 3U mounting kit.

2.5.2.1 3U washer plates
3U mounting kits also come with a set of washer plates that are used to secure the mounting brackets to the
rack posts. These washer plates come in two varieties:

Each kit has four washer plates, two per bracket. Of the two washer plates per bracket, one is used to attach
the mounting bracket to the front rack posts, and one is used to attach the rear. However, the type of washer
plate that is used for each of the three types of 3U Mounting kits is different depending on the kit. The
following table shows which washer plates to use with the 3U Mounting kit being installed.
