2. Rotate the seat and seat plate forward until the
end of the prop rod, at the prop-rod bracket, is at
the bottom of the slot in the bracket
3. Allow the engine to cool completely.
4. Remove the bolt and nut that secures the
terminal of the negative-battery cable to the
negative post of the battery.

Incorrect battery cable routing could
damage the machine and cables causing
FF
sparks. Sparks can cause the battery
gasses to explode, resulting in personal
injury.
• Always disconnect the negative
(black) battery cable before
disconnecting the positive (red)
cable.
• Always connect the positive (red)
battery cable before connecting the
negative (black) cable.
