1. Select Clear the present counter value and click OK.

2. Click OK to clear the protection counter.

5.3.11 CSIC Information (Remaining Ink Check)

The CSIC is an EEPROM mounted on each ink cartridge. It stores data
such as the amount of ink consumed. The printer driver can refer to
this data to tell the user how much ink remains in the cartridges.
1. From the main menu, click the Maintenance tab and select CSIC
information, then click OK. You see the screen below.

2. Select Black I/C or Color I/C, and then select the type of
information you want to display: I/C unique information or I/C
usage information. Then click OK.
If you want all the information to be printed on a single page, click
Print. The information includes the following:
"
How much ink remains in each cartridge (consumption quantity)
"
When the ink cartridge was manufactured (product date)
"
The ink cartridge's expiration date (effect period)
"
The date it was installed in the printer (install date)
"
Its expiration date after installing (open effect period), normally six
months after the installation date

5.3.12 Print A4 Pattern (Status Sheet)

Print the A4 test pattern to check for missing dots or lines, to see all
the adjustment test patterns at a glance, or to check the status of the
waste ink pad and ink consumption counters.
From the main menu, click the Print A4 Pattern tab and select Print
A4 Pattern, then click OK. The A4 pattern prints.
