Media Type
Select the paper brand from the [Select From Paper Catalog] list.
Select the paper size. When [Auto (Metric)] or [Auto (Inch)] is selected, the
paper size is automatically detected and selected.

The ranges that can be specified by size entry are as follows (X = length, Y =
width).

X: 148 to 488 mm (in 1 mm increments)
Y: 100 to 330 mm (in 1 mm increments)
Inches
X: 5.83 to 19.21" (in 0.01" increments)
X: 3.94 to 13.00" (in 0.01" increments)
Select the media type
Value:
Plain, Preprinted, Bond, Cardstock, Color, Prepunched, Letterhead, Thick,
Index Tab Dividers, Inkjet Paper, Inkjet Matte Paper, Custom 1 to 8

• To change to a media type other than "Plain", refer to the following sections.

When a paper weight that cannot be loaded in the cassette is set for a media
type, that media type does not appear.
