Fastening Field Bus Coupler with Carrier Rail Adapter on Carrier Rail
Screw together the field bus coupler and carrier rail adapter using the M4
threaded screws provided as shown in the figure below.

In order to keep a clear representation, the mounting rail adapter in the figure
below is shown without the field bus coupler.
When mounting the field bus coupler on a carrier rail (35 x 7.5 rail) using a
carrier rail adapter, proceed as follows:
1. Disconnect the power supply from those devices on which the field bus
coupler is to be mounted.
2. Put the field bus coupler with the two notches (60) onto the edge of the
carrier rail (61).
3. Press the lower side against the lower mounting rail edge until the latch
(62) is engaged.
For vertical mounting of the carrier rail or when vibrations or
shock occur, end clamps are to be used to stabilize it (see
ter 12.8 "End Clamp" on page
