If you replace the battery with the control voltage switched off, the
absolute value encoder position and thereby the position data ref‐
erence of the axis are lost.
Reestablishing the position data reference: See firmware function
"Establishing position data reference for absolute measuring sys‐
tems → "Set absolute position" command"
● If not yet done, carry out refresh procedure with the
new battery.
● Unscrew cover of battery box.
● Remove old battery and dispose of it according to di‐
rectives valid in your country.
