Workflow: Installing and setting up the Mirage
SST system
Identify the recommended order for installing and setting up the components of the Mirage SST
system.
The Mirage SST projector head provides all configuration and control for the laser illumination source.
Never connect a laptop to the laser illumination source unless directed by Technical Support.
1. Set up the projector head (on page 23).
a) Position the projector as perpendicular to the screen as possible, even if significantly
above the screen center.
b) Install the projection lens (on page 24).
c) If required, connect the Ethernet cable (on page 55) from the Ethernet port on the
projector head to the input source.
d) Connect the projector head to AC power (on page 25).
2. Set up the laser illumination source (on page 25).
a) Position the laser illumination source on level ground and ensure the fiber optic cable is
routed in a way to avoid any damage.
b) Install the J33 jumper box (on page 26) on the laser illumination source.
c) To protect the fiber optic cable, install the fiber connector safety cover (on page 27) on
the fiber connector.
d) Connect the fiber optic cable from the laser illumination source to the projector head.
• Connect using the curved strain relief (on page 30).
• Connect using the straight strain relief (on page 32).
