Protecting the fiber connector

Before placing or setting up any system components, you must install the supplied fiber connector
safety cover on the fiber connector to protect the fiber optic cable.
The fiber connector safety cover, wire lanyard, and cable ties, are supplied in the projector package.
The fiber connector safety cover provides additional physical protection for the fiber connector to
reduce the risk of damage during installation work.
The fiber connector safety cover (safety cover) must be tethered to the fiber optic cable and then
placed over the fiber connector and its dust cap. The safety cover and dust cap should be removed
only when you are ready to connect the fiber optic cable to the projector.
When handling the fiber optic cable, the minimum bend radius allowed is 150 mm.
1. Slide a cable tie through the eye of the wire lanyard and loop the cable tie loosely around the
fiber optic cable.
