Grounding
The Extreme Edge Server has a common logic ground as signal reference for the base
board, DIMMs, M.2 modules, heater control circuits, and PCIe card. Chassis ground uses
the chassis metal and front panel connector shields. Within the system, logic ground and
chassis ground are connected at a single point to ensure a common potential while
avoiding the possibility of ground loops. The -48V RTN is isolated from logic ground and
chassis ground in the system.
