4.1

Amalgam Rotor

AMALG appears on the display if the amal-
gam rotor needs replacement
RPM
(see Maintenance Instructions).
A continuous sound indicates that the
rotor is full and no longer functioning prop-
erly.
An intermittent sound indicates a system
error. The water supply is interrupted.
Please contact your service technician.
NOTICE: The rotor inside the amalgam
separator must be replaced at least once a
year, even if the AMALG display does not
light up. Otherwise, unpleasant odors can
develop.
4.2

Disinfection system

The disinfection system adds a disinfectant
to the water (1:100) to prevent the forma-
tion of microorganisms in the water system.
4.3

Prior to initial operation

of your treatment center, sanitation must
be performed.
If, based on an agreement with you,
sanitation was not performed by the engi-
neer following installation of your treatment
center, please perform sanitation as
described in the separate Maintenance
RPM
Instructions manual.
Sanitation takes approx. 24 hours.
4.4

During Treatment

If DESINF flashes on the dentist unit dis-
play during treatment, 1 liter of
DENTOSEPT P must be added before
beginning treatment of the next patient:
Remove the cover behind the cuspidor and
add 1 liter of DENTOSEPT P.
Please keep the filler trough clean at all
times.
Always make sure that no tap water enters
the filler trough!

Microbiological Water Test
(after an operating pause of more than 1 week)
Sanitation of the unit
Perform sanitation every 4 weeks. Only in this
way can you ensure that biofilm is effectively
controlled in the water paths.
