Application

The POLYLUX is suitable for the polymer-
ization of composites that harden under the
influence of light.
The hardening time recommended by the
manufacturer should be observed.
An initial value can be determined by
exposing a test filling.
The action of light in the oral cavity must be
limited to the area requiring clinical treat-
ment.
The light exit surface of the handpiece must
be brought as close as possible to the
material being polymerized.
CAUTION: The light exit surface must
not contact the tooth filling at the begin-
ning of the hardening process.
A built-in thermal switch protects the reflec-
tor lamp against overheating.
This switch may respond following several
successive long-term exposure periods.
The lamp can be switched on again as
soon as it has cooled down to its operating
temperature.
Following the hardening procedure, you
can increase the brightness of the unit illu-
minator again.
WARNING: Do not direct the light into
the patient's eyes.
Do not look directly into the light.
We recommend the use of a suitable glare
shield. Such a device can easily be fitted by
just slipping it over the light guide.
