4.3 Adjustment and final assembly
NOTICE
Risk of damage to the joint piece with cable lock during unlocking/
locking. The cable must be integrated into the body harness so it can
be pulled upwards as much vertically as possible.
In case of improper cable installation requiring from the patient to pull
the cable too much in direction to the center of the torso, there is the
risk of damage to the joint piece with cable lock.
4.3.1 Adjustment of the control cable to the harness

• We recommend to use the 10Y19=1 Coupling Screw and 21A12 Threa-
ded Fitting, short (for version with Perlon cable) or the 10Y25 Clamp
Sleeve, short (for version with a steel cable) for attachment of the control
cable to the body harness.
• Cut the steel cable of the joint piece with cable lock on a suitable place.
We recommend to cut the cable approx. 12 cm behind the rotation axis.
• Remove the isolating tubing and steel cable from the joint (fig. 19). Shor-
ten the isolating tubing according to the steel cable length and pull it on
the steel cable again.
• Clamp the coupling screw of the 10Y19=1 Screw Coupling on the steel
cable using the 736Y6 Clamping Tool.
• We recommend to re-mount the steel cable of the lock and to don the
prosthesis once again for determination of the necessary length of the
body harness pull-cable. This allows you to determine the length easily
and shorten the body harness pull-cable accordingly.
• Pull the coupling sleeve of the screw coupling over the pull-cable and
screw the 21A12 Threaded Fitting, short on the Perlon cable (fig. 20).
Verify the function of the locking mechanism by pulling the body harness.
• When using a body harness with steel cable, use a 10Y25 Clamp Sleeve,
short instead of the 21A12 Threaded Fitting, short. Clamp the clamp
sleeve with the 736Y6 Clamping Tool.
