3. SYSTEM CONFIGURATION UTILITY
If you have a PCE board installed in the C5 slot on
the back of your processor, then you will have a
label marked PCE as shown in Figure 3-1.
Automatic Diagnostics
Not implemented at this time.
Running the System Configuration Utility
Running the System Configuration Utility consists of
the following tasks:
• Install the System Configuration Utility.
• Log In.
• Display the current configuration.
• Set or change the configuration to reflect the
configuration of your system.
• Record your configuration on the processor.
The procedures to perform the above tasks are
described below.
Install the System Configuration Utility
For workstations that are not connected to a
network supporting software downloading, install
the utility with the System Configuration Utility
floppy disk. (Workstations must have floppy disk
drives.)
Follow the
procedure
described
in
"Installation from Floppy Disks", below.
For workstations that are connected to a network
supporting software downloading, retrieve the
System Configuration Utility from the network.
Follow the procedure described in "Installation
from the Network", below.
