2. INSTALLING STANDARD AND OPTIONAL COMPONENTS
WARNING
Improper connection of the computer ground
conductor can result in risk of electrical shock.
• Never use a grounded adapter plug to connect
the computer to a power source receptacle that
lacks a ground connection terminal.
• Never attempt any maintenance functions that
are not specifically called for in this installation
guide.
• Never remove any covers or guards that are
fastened
with
screws,
except
as
explicitly
instructed to do so in this installation guide. If
you are instructed to remove any covers or
guards that are fastened ,with screws, always
follow the instructions exactly as they are
presented.
• Never
override
or
"cheat"
electrical
or
mechanical interlock devices.
• Always exercise care in moving or relocating the
workstation. Refer to this installation guide for
correct procedures for lifting and moving the
workstati on.
• Never move a workstation when the processor is
powered up.
• Never operate the workstation if you notice
unusual noises or odors. Disconnect the power
cord from the power source receptacle and call
your Xerox service representative to correct the
problem.
