Installing Standard and Optional Components
The
following
procedures
for
installing
the
standard and optional components shou-Id be
performed sequentially.
Connecting the Optical Pointer (Mouse) to the Keyboard
1. Connect the cable that is attached to the optical
pointer to the connector located at the rear
center of the keyboard (Figure 2-6). The grooves
of the connector must be facing down.
Note: When properly connected, the mouse
connector fits securely and is flush with
the rear of the keyboard.

Determine on which side of the keyboard the
mouse will be placed for ease of use. location
of the mouse is generally correlated with a
person being I eft- or right-handed.
For
example, a right-handed person generally
prefers the mouse placed on the right side.
