Installing the Control Store Upgrade Kit
Remove MPB and Determine Where IC Chips are to be Installed
1. Unscrew and open the cable retention bar
(Flgure 2-10).

Remove the MPB In the third slot (slot C3) of the
back of the processor unit by unscrewing its
thumbscrews and gently pulling the board out
of the processor unit.
3.
Lay the Mesa Processor board circuit side upon
a
non-metallic
flat
surface
with
the
thumbscrews facing you.
4.
Locate the two rows of sockets close to the
upper left corner of the board. The sockets
should be labeled U95 through U 170.
