INSTALLING STANDARD AND
OPTIONAL COMPONENTS
Standard System Components
The 1186 consists of six basic system components:
• A processor unit
• Adisplay
• A keyboard
• An optical pointer
• A floppy disk drive
• A memory expansion board
Each component is individually packaged.
In
addition, several optional system components are
available:
• A Personal Computer Emulation (PCE) board
• An Ethernet transceiver
• A drop cable
• A rigid disk drive (See Appendi x S, Rigid Disk
Drive Installation.)
The following is a list of what is contained in each
box of standard and optional components.
• Processor unit box:
- Processor unit
- Power cord
- Screwdriver (packaged with power cord)
- Hardware unpacking instructions (located on
top of the styrofoam packing)
• Display box:
- Display
Display power cord
- Display signal cable
- Keyboard cable (attached to the display)
• Floppy disk drive box:
- FIOppr disk drive
Signa cable
- Set of four clips
