A/C Control Mode Door Input Shorted To Ground (Manual A/C) - Chrysler Concorde 2004 Service Manual

Symptom:
A/C CONTROL MODE DOOR INPUT SHORTED TO GROUND (MAN-
UAL A/C)
When Monitored and Set Condition:

A/C CONTROL MODE DOOR INPUT SHORTED TO GROUND (MANUAL A/C)

When Monitored: With the ignition on.
Set Condition: The BCM detects an abnormally low voltage on its mode request input.
CONTROL HEAD - SHORT TO GROUND
MODE SWITCH MUX CIRCUIT SHORTED TO GROUND
BODY CONTROL MODULE - MODE SWITCH MUX SHORTED TO GROUND
TEST
1 With the DRBIII , erase Body Controller DTC's.
Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Manual Temp Control Head C1 harness connector.
Measure the resistance between ground and the Mode Switch MUX circuit.
Is the resistance below 100.0 ohms?
Yes → Go To 2
→ Replace the Control Head.
No
2 Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Manual Temp Control Head C1 harness connector.
Disconnect the Body Control Module C2 harness connector.
Measure the resistance between ground and the Mode Switch MUX circuit.
Is the resistance below 100.0 ohms?
Yes → Repair the Mode Switch MUX circuit for a short to ground.
→ Go To 3
No
3 If there are no possible causes remaining, view repair.

Replace the Body Control Module.
