6 Communication with the PLC

The I20 has 10 galvanically isolated (opto coupled) inputs and 5 galvanically isolated (opto
coupled) outputs.
6.1

PLC inputs

If different functions are performed at the same time, an fault message will be generated.
The following functions are possible:
1. Measurement Start / Stop
2. System test (gap control sensors)
3. Program switching
4. Clear 2-sheet / Clear 0-1-2-wa outputs
5. Zero adjust (not active by default)
6. Material detection NF (with first selected sensor)
7. Teach-In 1-sheet (not active by default)
8. Teach-In 2-sheet (not active by default)
9. Reset Fault

Signal „Enable"
The signal ENABLE is always 24V active
The signal is LOW (0V)
during system operation via keyboard
in case of system fault
during a system test
The signal is HIGH (24V)
when the system is operational
