Material detection NF
For performing a "Material detection NF", a non-ferrous sheet with nominal thickness must be
present between the sensors.
(without IN 3/8)
OUT 4, 3, 2, 1
Check whether the output OUT0 "Enable" has been switched to HIGH (ready for operation), otherwise a
1
fault condition is existing.
Before initiating the material detection, all inputs must be switched to LOW for 10ms.
2
A sheet of nominal thickness must be present between the sensors.
Switch the input IN8 "material detection" to HIGH.
3
Within 10ms the outputs OUT1...OUT4 are switched to LOW.
4
Now the system determines the electrical conductivity of the NF material. Within 7 seconds the material
detection is completed. Now the system waits for the input IN8 "material detection" being switched to
LOW.
After point 4 or 10ms after point 3 switch the input IN8 "material detection" to LOW.
5
The outputs OUT1...OUT4 switch to HIGH.
6
Note: If "FE" (ferromagnetic material) or operating mode "Frequency" is set, then the material
detection for NF will also be performed, but will be without any effect. There will also no
fault message be displayed.
