System test (Sensor gap control)
In order to check the function of the unit it is possible to check the sensor gap. This test can also be
used as functional check.
No sheet must be present during this test. If the sensor gap has changed, then the unit reports an
error and the output OUT0 "Enable" remains LOW. If the gap is the same as during Teach-In and
the unit is working properly, then the sensor gap control will be performed fault free.

Check whether the output OUT0 "Enable" has been switched to HIGH (ready for operation), otherwise a
1
fault condition is existing.
All inputs must be LOW for 10 ms before "Test Sensor gap" is activated. No sheet must be present
2
between the sensors.
Switch input IN6 "Test Sensor gap" to HIGH.
3
Within 10ms all outputs are switched to LOW.
4
The system now performs a sensor gap test. The test will be finished within 300ms.
The system now waits for the input IN6 being switched to LOW.
Switch the input IN6 "Test Sensor gap" to LOW.
5
All outputs are switched to HIGH. In case of fault the ouput OUT0 "Enable" switches to LOW.
6
If "Measurement: Demo mode" is configured it is not possible to interrogate the outputs OUT1...OUT4,
because the measurement restarts automatically after finishing the test. Therefore the unit must be
configured to "Measurement: external".
