Connection to a fire detector system

Building Technologies
Fire Safety & Security Products
The XC10 extinguishing control unit can be connected to a remote fire detector
system or danger management system to share the local status information and to
receive certain commands.
Categories of possible applications could be:
Status signalling and use of RT channels.
Ability to set the XC10 in maintenance modes, status signalling by use of RT
channels.
Division of the extinguishing and fire functions, so that the fire detection is
handled by the remote fire system and the XC10 controls the extinguishing.
By all this application the XC10 will be the master of the XC10 extinguishing
sequence and the operation must be done locally first.
The connections will be done trough different input and output signals supported by
the XC10.
The XC10 supports various input and output signals for these connections.
The extinguishing control unit can be connected to a fire detector system via the
I/O module of a detector bus FDnet. Refer to the FS20 or AlgoRex documentation
for details.
The following application examples illustrate the connection to the FDnet. The
FDCIO222 I/O module required for this purpose has 4 inputs and 4 outputs and
can be incorporated directly into the extinguishing control unit.
Further information can be found in the document "Input module, In-/Output
module FDCI222, FDCIO222, FDCIO224", document Nr. 007023.
