Monitored input 2
Monitored input 2 has two active switching levels. It is provided for connecting two
contacts that report to the extinguishing control unit the "Open" and "Closed" states
of a mechanical shut-off valve.

1. Mechanical blocking device contact "Closed"
2. Mechanical blocking device contact "Open"
3. Blocking device contact for "Autom. & Manual blocked" condition
4. Blocking device contact for "Manual only" condition
5. Contact for the initiation of the extinguishing release from external
6. NO contact for "Loss of extinguishing agent"
7. NC contact for "Loss of extinguishing agent"
8. End-of-line resistor
In programming step 4, you can select the following functions:
Option 6:
To be used for mechanical blocking device, reports the "Mech.
blocked" condition when contact "Closed" is activated and "Normal"
when contact "Open" is activated
Option 7:
Same as option 6, but reports the condition "Mech. blocked" and
"Autom. & Man. blocked" when contact "Closed" is activated
Option 8:
When blocking devices are available for "Autom. & Man. blocked"
and "Manual only" conditions
Option 9:
If "Activated" condition is to be initiated from an external source
Option 10: If the "Loss of extinguishing agent" condition is to be reported
Details on programming, see chapter 11.6.4.
"Open" and "Closed" contacts for mechanical blocking:
Route the line of monitored input 2 directly to the contacts. Under no

circumstances must these be wired in parallel.
Requirement: Mechanical blocking device possible only with XCA1016 add-on
module.
